¡®The national conference of persons in charge
of children's service¡¯ organized in December 2006 consisted
of persons in charge of children's section in national
public libraries. Its main purpose is to help develop
a library service in domestic children and young adults.
The conference consisted of a general assembly, operation
committee, and working committee. And you can join and
act as an individual member and a group member.

We progress the business to promote a reading
to enhance the reading power of children and young adults
and make a reading common and make efforts to form a sound
reading culture through a cooperation with and support
from each non-profit institution and group including a
public library and a school library.
We attempt to form a base to promote a reading of children
and young adults and the means for relevant execution
through research activities, seminars and workshops. By
developing and distributing the program on reading culture
for children and young adults, we help a voluntary reading
through a joy of reading books and play a role of supporting
the reading activities of children and young adults in
national public libraries and school libraries.

We select and provide the materials and
information necessary for children, young adults, and
researchers and try to build a space where all researchers
can share their opinions together.
In addition to a provision of information material on
hot issues relating to children and young adults, provision
of information on table of contents for serial publications,
and introduction to newly published book, etc., we introduce
seminar schedules and materials to be presented at the
related groups or societies.
Moreover, we support a blog operation of related researchers
and provide the webzine(e-partner) service for them to
share the blog contents. |
