The National Library for Children and Young Adults is involved in exchanges and cooperation with overseas libraries,
international organizations, and professionals all around the world in order to develop the domestic library

specialized for children and young adults by analyzing international trend and sharing information.

AKCF Project: Training Project for ASEAN Children's Librarians (2010-2017)
From 2010 to 2017, NLCY has implemented the ‘Training Project for ASEAN Children’s Librarians’, a
professional training
program for children's librarians in ASEAN member countries (funded by the ASEAN-ROK Cooperation Fund). The
Training
Project aims to promote reading in ASEAN nations; to enhance children’s services in ASEAN libraries; and to
establish a
network for mutual exchanges and cooperation among ASEAN-ROK.

- ※ The 10 ASEAN member countries are Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
